I am now planning meals & snacks using the Canada Food Guide as a planning tool. I am taking control over what we eat.
I don't want to be eating takeout as much as we were doing. Fast food is what it is and most people eat too much of it. I would love to meet a child who doesn't know the Golden Arch's!
We were on track with everything but the fruit & veggies. Since it's summer there are so many more fresh fruits might as well eat them now. I am missing local strawberries season.
I want to eat healthily & cut back on the take out. I am happy to say I am on track with both of them. I have been meal planning the past 4 weeks with great success. We have only gotten take out 3 times. Before it was like twice a week. Also I have been making my husband his dinner to go to work,
With my meal planning I have gotten my meat in club pack and freeze it but only for 2-3 weeks. I plan 4 meals & have one cheat like pizza(frozen). Also I'm not a fan of left overs so I am making smaller portions this really saves on waste.
